RÉMI is the public transport network responsible for passenger services outside urban areas in Centre-Val de Loire.
Whether you’re here to share the excitement of the Paris 2024 Games or simply want to explore the wonderful landscapes, historic towns and architecture, wine and gastronomy of the Loire Valley – everything you need to plan your travel is on this page.
Château de Chambord and other stunning castles dot this stretch of the Loire Valley, which is listed a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Centre-Val de Loire, a stone’s throw from Paris
Our part of the Loire Valley is next door to Ile-de-France and only an hour away from Paris and its international airports, Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly.
The Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics Shooting events will be held in Châteauroux in Centre-Val de Loire.
A joined-up transport network
Intercity trains run on 3 lines known as RÉMI Express:
- Paris-Orleans-Tours
- Paris-Bourges-Montluçon
- Paris-Montargis-Nevers
Travel times are approx. 1hr 10mins Orleans -> Paris and 1hr 20mins Tours -> Paris (by TGV).
Ordinary local RÉMI trains run within the region, and there’s a network of RÉMI coaches serving smaller destinations.

Cycle tourism
Cycling in Centre-Val de Loire is a pleasure thanks to the region’s well-developed network of dedicated bike routes, including a long stretch of the Loire à Vélo (Loire by Bike) trail, part of the popular EuroVelo 6 cycle route.
You can take your bike on RÉMI trains. Please note that certain intercity trains require a €1 bike reservation on Saturdays, Sundays and French public holidays.

Train
Tickets for single or return travel can be bought online or at a ticket office.
Centre-Val de Loire has connections between all its major towns, as well as frequent trains to Paris and neighbouring Ile-de-France.
The RÉMI network serves Paris Austerlitz, Paris Bercy and Paris Montparnasse stations.
Coach
Tickets can be bought at bus s or onboard RÉMI coaches.
Drivers cannot accept card payments, so please have cash with you.
